Evening in the Garden, our school’s largest fundraiser, is confirmed for Friday, March 23, 2018 at 433 Bishop. Despite the weather, we are still planning on holding our planning meeting on Thursday, January 18th at 7pm at Kerry Dyer’s house (779 Greenview Ave. NE map). The meeting will be brief and serve as an introduction to the event and the areas where you can help. We are respectful of all volunteers ensuring that no task is too complicated or time consuming. “Many hands make light work.” Thank you for your consideration, we look forward to seeing you! If you are interested in volunteering but unable to attend, please reach out to Kerry Dyer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Kelly Hurley (email@example.com).
Here are the areas where help is needed:
- Donation Items: All sponsors will be promoted and acknowledged through digital and printed marketing. If you have ideas, please contact Kerry or Kelly for next steps.
- Stock the Bar: Procurement of “spirits” for the evening to include wine, vodka, bourbon and beer.
- Desserts: Variety of dessert items.
- Auction Items: Experiences: Our most successful (highest grossing items) are experiential auction items. Ideas include Chef’s Tables, Spirits Tastings, children’s entertainment/activities (birthday parties, etc.), and “inside access” to places and events. Places: Do you own or have access to a beach/lake house, ski home, mountain cabin, or city pied-a-terre which we can auction for an overnight stay?
Time Commitment: We meet as a group 2 – 3 times for general planning discussions. We will then need helpers the week prior, day of, evening of or day after the event.
