The January NAPPS meeting cancelled due to the bad weather has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, January 31st at noon. Come out to hear Mr. John Denine, Executive Director of CASIE: Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education and Ms. Thea Murphy of Atlanta Public Schools as they discuss how to best support your student’s educational journey within the International Baccalaureate program (IB). John and Thea will highlight the IB curriculum and the various resources aimed to develop inquiring and knowledgeable thinkers, inspired to make a difference at local and global levels through language and cultural understanding. The location this month will be E. Rivers Elementary School map. Bring your lunch; the host school’s PTA will provide dessert and drinks. NAPPS Meetings typically last just an hour to accommodate a busy parent’s schedule.
The mission of NAPPS is to increase community awareness and support for our North Atlanta cluster schools, ultimately resulting in a high student retention rate Kindergarten through 12th grade.
By educating the community about existing public school opportunities and advantages, NAPPS strives to strengthen the bond between our community and our school system.
Our Board is comprised of representatives from all six elementary schools, Sutton and North Atlanta High School. We host community meetings throughout the school year ranging on topics from IB and Dual Immersion to Sports.
