Welcome to Garden Hills Elementary School, a dynamic learning environment with top-notch educators, an inspiring principal, and happy families. Students at GHES enjoy going to school each day in a beautiful, historic building where they are greeted by smiling teachers and students who love their school and are happy to be there.

Garden Hills celebrates being the first public elementary school in Georgia to receive certification in the highly acclaimed and world-renowned International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. In fact, the North Atlanta cluster offers the only public schools in Georgia to offer the fully articulated International Baccalaureate K-12 educational model.

At Garden Hills, we are focused on the development of the whole child: academically, socially, and emotionally. There is no “one size fits all” approach to learning.

We invite you to talk to other GHES parents and hear what they have to say about our hidden “jewel of a school!”

We can’t wait to have you visit and see for yourselves what makes Garden Hills an excellent choice for your family.

All tours are held on Tuesdays and begin promptly at 9:30 AM at Garden Hills Elementary School. During the tour, parents will have the opportunity to meet administrators and visit classrooms throughout the building.

Principal Abbott and/or GHES administrators will be in attendance, as well as current Garden Hills parents who can share their experiences and answer questions from a parent perspective. We will post more details about these events as they approach.
